Weekend Reading: 9.2.2018

September. How?!

I was just saying to Rob that the second half of July and all of August flew by—probably because, in all honesty, the past six weeks have been exceptionally difficult. From my shoulder injury to some big personal disappointments to a bunch of small-but-annoying incidents—like my car battery dying, and ending the month with a cold; you know, the little things that add up—things have been bumpy at best lately. So even though September doesn’t bring us Floridians any of the fall relief that the rest of the country gets (I’d kill for a day below 85 degrees!), I’m looking forward to a new season and the beginning of the end of the year. Call me basic, but fall is my favorite time of year, and I feel more refreshed and ready to take on new things in September and October than I do on January 1. Do you feel it, too?

Also, hooray, it’s a three-day weekend! And if you’re in the mood for some reading (or things to watch or listen to), here you go. Have a great one, friends.

As someone who’s kind of reevaluating her own personal style after six weeks of being stuck in easy-to-move-in clothing and a messy bun vs. cute clothing that makes me feel good, I really enjoyed this essay on personal style. (Man Repeller)
