Weekend Reading: 2.11.2018

All of the sudden, it feels like spring here. We’ve had a colder-than-usual few months (for Florida), but yesterday the warm weather returned full-force, with temps in the low 80s and the hot breath of humidity surrounding us. As I type this, Rambo is outside sunbathing, and I’m looking out at sun-dappled, leafy green trees—the way the light is shining through them makes me feel like it’s April, not February.

This was a good and busy week—several luncheons, productive work days and, yesterday, yoga followed by the launch of my friend’s beautiful new nonprofit for women afflicted with breast cancer (obviously a cause close to my heart). The group that came together for it was fascinating, too, and it was super cool to hear their stories.

Today I’m lying low—snuggling with Rams, prepping for the week ahead—but if you’re in the mood for some reading, here are a few fun links from around the web.

Quincy Jones pulls no punches. (This is well worth your time.)

How to be an activist.

Are you watching the Winter Olympics? This piece is lovely.

Love this week of outfits.

Cute pants.

Has anyone tried 100 Percent Pure? (I first heard about in that Into the Gloss interview with Shailene Woodley where she said she eats clay, but it’s super clean and I’ve heard good things. I just ordered a little sample pack—will report back.)

Perfect striped pajamas.

This installation looks incredible.

A really interesting piece on hugging and the #MeToo movement.

I love Great British Bake Off contestant Ruby Tandoh’s newsletter (the most recent was excellent) and I’m excited to get my paws on her new book.

Cardamom pound cake sounds like everything we all need right now.

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone.
